Butt fusion welding joins polyethylene pipe lengths together by heating the pipe ends against a heated plate to their melting temperature, then pressing them together under controlled pressure to form a full-bore joint with no fitting required. All butt fusion jointing is carried out in accordance with WIS 4-32-08. We operate Ritmo Remedy fully automatic butt fusion machines — the fully automatic welding cycle records every fusion parameter per joint, giving complete traceability for large diameter HDPE water main and gas pipeline installation. All welders hold current EUSR accreditation with full traceability records maintained per joint.

- PE100 and PE80 HDPE pipe; water mains, gas networks, process pipelines
- EUSR certified welders — current logbook holders
- Welding undertaken under cover (welding tent/gazebo) to protect joint from wind and rain
- Full fusion traceability records per joint: pipe batch, machine serial, welder ID, fusion parameters, date and time
- GPS joint location records submitted as part of Final Documents
- Works carried out in accordance with WIS 4-32-08 and IW-CDS-5020-03
